About the Artist:
Headliner: Orlando Baxter
In 2005, quickly establishing himself as one of the area’s most sought-after young comics. With a fresh perspective and a unique ability to connect with audiences, this former high school teacher became a fan favorite and a frequent finalist at prestigious comedy festivals worldwide.
Orlando’s comedic prowess led him to the stage of NBC’s “Stand Up for Diversity,” as well as international festivals like Montreux Comedy Festival, Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Turku Comedy Festival, and Melbourne Comedy Festival. His nationwide tours have taken him to clubs, colleges, and festivals both domestically and abroad.
In 2016, Orlando made his late-night television debut on TBS’s “Conan,” a milestone that solidified his position in the comedy world. Since then, he has appeared on television shows like “Comedy Up Late” in Australia, BET’s “50 Central,” Laff Mobb’s “Laff Track” on Tru TV, and TBN’s “Mike Huckabee Show.”
His DryBar comedy special, “Glorified Baby Sitter,” has garnered over 10 million views, showcasing his ability to captivate audiences with his relatable humor and sharp wit. In 2022, Orlando expanded his creative horizons by co-starring in the Amazon Prime movie “Salesmen” and independently releasing his comedy special, “Live from South High”
