About Cheers For Queers

Three Queer NYC and Boston comics are invading Connecticut! Hosted by New England favorite Kendra Dawsey, and Co-Headlined by the hosts of the Cheers for Queers podcast, Sarah Garner and Madelein Smith.

Kendra Dawsey is an up and coming stand-up comic who has performed in clubs and showcases in NYC and all over New England, including Stonewall Inn, Comix at Mohegan Sun, and ImprovBoston. Their show, Reel Life, was featured in the New Haven Independent.

Kendra was a featured comic on the Sirius XM radio program, Paid or Pain. Their festival credits include the Midwest Queer Comedy Festival, Black Girl Giggles in New Orleans, and the Ithaca Comedy Festival. They recently made their TV debut on the LOL network’s Lyft Comics.

Sarah Garner is a favorite in the NYC comedy scene, and is a regular at clubs across the city such as Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and The Lantern Comedy Club. Her popular show, Not a Therapist, was featured in the New York Times. She co-hosts the podcast Cheers for Queers with Madelein Smith, where they interview amazing queer performers and talk about being little weirdos.

Madelein Smith is a touring comedian based in NYC. She has traveled internationally performing at colleges, clubs, and cruise ships. She is also a regular at many NYC clubs. Her debut album, Belle of the Ball, rose to #1 on the ITunes Comedy Charts. She has been featured on Amazon Prime and Comedy Central, and currently has a network pilot in development. She co-hosts the podcast Cheers for Queers with Sarah Garner, where they interview amazing queer performers and talk about being little weirdos.
