About Willie Lynch Jr
Born and raised in East St. Louis, Illinois Willie Lynch, Jr. was class clown from elementary all the way to high school. Watching BET Comic View and Def Comedy Jam in the 90's, Willie fell in love with the art of comedy at a young age. He dabbled in the game some in college, but begin to take it seriously in August 2009 at the St. Louis House of Comedy. Lynch entered the historic Bay Area Comedy Competition in Oakland in February 2010 and made it to the finals after only a few months in the game. In 2012, Lynch won the entire competition and his career has taken off since. Since then he's been featured on TBS's Just for Laughs, Bounce TV's Off the Chain,and finalist in Stand Up Its Miller Time. He's performed over seas in Japan, Jamaica, Honduras, Dominican Republic to name a few.Lynch left St. Louis' scene to try his hand in Chicago, and he quickly became a favorite on the seen and had a stint as the House MC at Jokes and Notes. After four years in the Windy City, Willie relocated to the Big Apple and is taking New York by storm. Keep an eye out for him and see why Kevin Hart called him, "Langston Hughes with a punchline."
